The Legend: Brigitte Bardot

This video gives you a little taste of the Brigitte Bardot exhibit I went to see in St. Tropez last summer in France.  It was a very inspirational show, where I really got to see the life of a true French icon.  In her early life, Bardot was an aspiring ballet dancer. She started her acting career in 1952 and, after appearing in 16 films, became world-famous due to her role in her then-husband Roger Vadim's controversial film And God Created Woman. She later starred in Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 cult film, Contempt. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actress for her role in Louis Malle's 1965 film, Viva Maria!  Bardot retired from the entertainment industry in 1973.  During her career in show business Bardot starred in 47 films, performed in numerous musical shows, and recorded 80 songs.  After her retirement, Bardot established herself as an animal rights activist.  I've got a few postcards of Brigitte Bardot from this exhibit framed around the spa, which I will trade out for your trip postcards sent to me!

Lad's Night!

Tis the time for you ladies to be treated by the man in your life!  We've come up with the perfect solution: Wednesday, December 15th, between 5 - 8 pm we'll give lads free beer and pizza in exchange for them purchasing items on your Mille Fiori Spa wish list!  Make sure to pick up one of our little pamphlets and fill out the back with your wish list details so that they know exactly what you're after! Sure to be an annual event.

Artist Corner

Four years ago I came across Erica Messing at the Moss Street Paint In. I was enamored by the pallet of colour choices and the way she danced the scenery right in front of you on canvas. At the time I didn't have any wall space to display her work, so I took her card and pinned it to my cork board at home in hopes of being able to have a piece of her work someday.

The day has come. I have beautiful walls to display art at the spa and thought that perhaps there might be an opportunity for Erica and I to meet again. She is a delightful artist. We are currently showing 3 of her pieces and will continue to rotate her work on our wall so you can have the full Erica Messing experience. You can see more of her work at :  http://www.ericamessing.com

Rich European fragrances

Mille Fiori Spa is very pleased to offer Kobo Candles which are made of domestically grown sustainable soybeans in the USA.  This creates the cleanest burning medium and an excellent level of fragrance yield.  Kobo candles are not only created using environmentally friendly materials but they do not pollute the home either.  The Motif Kobo Candle Collection which we carry has rhythmic designs based on a delicate creamy gold and silver palette and rich European fragrances.  The Motif collection is truly reminiscent of old world interiors and a full bodied sensual experience.  A perfect match for Mille Fiori Spa, and also a great hostess gift or stocking stuffer!  What gift do you enjoy getting when being a hostess?
