Inside the music

"Instruments from inside" is a beautiful campaign created for the Chamber Ensemble of the Berlin Philharmonic. The idea was to photograph the instruments from inside the tiny crevices in order to be as close as possible to the music.

The photography is by Mierswa Kluska. The original concept is by Mona Sibai and Björn Ewers.

The bigger picture: not just chairs

This is a remarkable work of art created by using 1,550 wooden chairs piled high between two buildings in Istanbul, Turkey. Artist Doris Salcedo, who displayed the work in 2003, said her aim was to create a "topography of war" - not a specific conflict, but war in general - and to explore the way that war and daily life are intertwined.

A silent film worth watching

"The Artist" what a beautiful movie, and a very special way to feel like our grandmothers did when they went to the theatres back in the 1920's.
